Tent Recommendations
« on: February 06, 2016, 10:42:24 AM »
Usually my family likes to camp in a travel trailer, but since our camper was stolen out of our driveway last summer (older uninsured camper), we are left without shelter for our camping trips.

We're planning on the club Colorado trip this summer, and we're looking for recommendations for a good quality tent that sleeps 4.  The main things we're looking for is something we can stand up inside, and something that sets up and tears down quickly.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Casey

We had a Eureka tent that we really liked. It held up really well and didn't leak for a long time. It was pretty tall and it set up pretty easy also. Before I bought our RTT I was looking at some other tents that were quick set up tents. They look like they set up very very quickly but they didn't pack down into as small of a space either.

Our Eureka  was a six-person hexagon three season. You might want 3 season in Colorado if we stay at any higher elevations and the wind is blowing really hard.

Thanks.  I'll check them out!

Big Agnes has also been recommended:

Awesome!  Is this the one you would recommend if you had to purchase another RTT?

Now, to convince the wife....

Yes that is the one I would recommend. And actually I sold mine to Wes because he didn't care about the annex that much. That is the one that I ordered and it came in Tuesday. They have one the same size as the one I had and we could get all 5 of us in that one but it was very tight.
